Arcube offers mini CD’s that are about half the size of a normal CD. Our equipment supports audio cds, data cds and mixed-mode formats allowing us to offer full service music, audio and mini run cd replication.
Cutting any CD will decrease the amount of data – music, audio, video, MB of information, etc. – that the disc can hold. We recommend using the guidelines contained on this site concerning our templates. Please use Arcube template for your next We Mini CD project. There is one standard shape for the mini CD.
A CDR is made using a laser dye. The dye responds to a laser beam and reflects a string of Ones and Zeros. The dye is embedded in the poly-carbonate layer and lacquer layer on top of the CDR. The laser dye is completely sheltered by the poly-carbonate and lacquer layers. When a CDR is cut, the laser dye is exposed to the environment making it ineffective for the laser beams. We do not recommend, using a CDR and cutting it to a desired shape and inserting it in a CD drive.
